I dispose of all biowaste and OPIM. My first act when I arrive for every biohazard cleanup job is to disinfect soiled areas. Usually I seal the once soiled area.
Sometimes these areas cannot be sealed or should not be sealed. So I ensure that they receive deep cleaning and disinfecting as much as possible. My prices remain the same.

When absolutely necessary, blood cleanup means demolition of small areas of floor, walls, or ceilings. I do my best not to cause demolition. I sand and seal before cutting out material. Sometime, though, and other fluids migrate across floors to walls. Once at the wall finds its way up drywall by wicking. Usually wicked sands out or cuts out quite easily. Repairing small areas of drywall takes minutes and costs very little.

Once in a while leaks between a wall and floor and seeps below along ventilation ducts, heating pipes, water pipes, or cross members. Even electrical wiring serves as conduit for 's progression. These instances are rare, very unusual too, but they do occur. Bathroom grouting not well sealed may lead to problems too.

Disinfecting begins at the start of blood cleanup. I continue disinfecting with each cleaning step and more often depending on circumstances. I see no need to allow biohazards a moments defense from my disinfecting approach to blood cleanup. By the time I complete blood cleanup I have used over a gallon of disinfectant of soiled material.

I a recommendation cited by the Center for Disease Control: 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. I tend to increase my bleach as needed. I use Pine Sol Oil because our military uses it. I also use Simple Green because kills bacterial. Professional disinfectants require extra care and sometimes using them places others at risk because of their extraordinary lethality. I believe that thorough cleaning reduces our need for professional disinfectants.

By cleaning thoroughly odor reduction reduction occurs more quickly. Once living matter decomposes it leaves a heavy sulfur or urea-like odor in the air and within cellular materials, man-made and natural. I cannot remove all odors all the time, but usually I can help reduce odors. Nature takes its course and with cleaning and ventilation, odors will disappear. Usually, young children will be the last to percieve these odors.
